New TF2 Stats Program Beta - Need log files!
#1
Me and a friend are developing a new stats tracking software that we think will become very popular. What is it? Its called Velocity Stats.

Currently in development, Velocity Stats will provide fully featured world-wide player, clan, and map ranking completely free. At first, we will only support Team Fortress 2. However, we soon plan to expand our game support to such titles as Counter-Strike: Source, and even Call of Duty 4 down the road.

We also support automatic clan tag detection, daily heatmaps, awards, weapon stats, and more. Currently we're working on the front-end (the part of the site the user can see) and we need some sample content to built the site around. We will start a private beta with major clans soon after the front-end is complete, but for now we need your help.

We ask you to supply us with some of your server log files, so we can use that data to build the site. Your logs should will be found in ../orangebox/tf/logs but only after you have added the 'log on' cvar to your server.cfg. The more popular your server is, the better.

Either reply to this topic with a link to an archive with the files in it, or email me a link by clicking here. Be sure to include a file (contact.txt) in the archive with your email and server IP so we can contact you about the beta when it starts.

All people that supply us with some log files in order to develop Velocity Stats will get an invitation into the private beta when it starts down the road. Don't forget to include the contact.txt file.

This is an ad. 30+ posts are needed before posting an ad.

Not to be a dick, but it does sound like an "ad" since he is telling people about it, but not an ad to sell something, so I say keep it Smile

I did get an email offering some log files, thanks to SuperShadow for that. Here's a screenshot of the current front page, if you're interested: http://velocitystats.com/screen.jpg
