A banner on loading screen - yes or no?

Hi,
sry for my bad english,
I want to know what I've to do to see my logo (banner)while downloading maps or sounds on my server.

1. Someone said that something like afaik is missing
2. Someone else said me that the banner is hosted by a content server.
In this case is there a possibility for me to host or emulate a
content server to see my banner? Or can you allow me to hast a
filtered content server?

Or exists any other possibility to see my banner while connecting on my server?

I'm not sure if its possible, i know you can use images on your motd, which is the first thing users see when the map loads and what not.

It is possible, but its broken in the latest SRCDS according to the steam forums;

i saw a post on that subject in here... i did what it said but i haven't ever seen it work... so i jus gave up

Right now banners in SRCDS during load up is not configured into the GUI of Source. However Vavle may be adding this soon now that they are almost done with Vac 2.

This feature used to work BEFORE the last server part upgraid but then it suddenly turned off. The only thing you can do is to add mani plag-in adverts during the game. It will appear in the chat area as the pop-up chat messages.

Interesting, some data surely use to save in the other file (default; besides motd.txt) because you can see the default message after you have connected. Strange, but some servers still have working adverts screens and they are also upgraided to the last server update, so may be it depends on the OS variety - Linux or Win based servers. My clan has a linux based server latest version and the motd file doesn't work.

If someone find the cure, please post it.

if you have a problem with a linux bassed server you should post a new thread in the linux discussion, or in srcds general. do rehash a very old thread that really is completly differnt.

and as far as i know the motd file does work for all server varietys, but what this thread was about had nothing at all to do with that file.
