I got a new server:
Dell 2950 with DRAC
Dual Quad Core Xeon 5405
4 x 1024Gb Hard Drive
16GB Ram
I looking to hold 10 to 12 servers. I need to know how many slots can I push these servers too and on a different note how many slots per core.
I might be able to get Xeon 5410 (even 5420(unlikely)) That is the slot difference between the two models

An i7 is a quad core with hyperthreading. Two quad core will out perform a single i7 easily.

Linux or windows, in linux cod4 likes to page all of the ram for itself... as buffers...

The servers are similar, so the slot count will vary only a few. . .

You need to also consider bandwidth. That server comes with 1024GB or 1536GB a month I take it? Just to give you an idea my single 100tick css server uses 120GB a month, normally around 4 players on.
