Srcds gsp department?

A simple idea, please don't flame, and act mature.
Like since, this is a free and open community, why not open a gsp that is about the same?
High quality servers for a very low price, i could invest a decent amount into this, and how about you guys.
The name will use srcdsservers.com or srcdsgameservers.com
or something like that.

All the high level admins will be allowed into this, and people with a high rep can sign up, and whoever has a different suggestion, please post here or pm me.

Age is not of a matter here, maturity and brains, is whats important.

Yearh me too. I think it's not that hard to administrate. But the problem is, that the economy wouldn't go around.

A good buisness earns more money than there expenditures is. And another site of it, is, where should it be located? The site here is hosted in NL, but for you americans would have around those 100ms pings. So then we'll need another in US. And then Northen Europa, due to Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. However I have a nice ping to the Netherland(20ms)

And Germany can use the dutch or it might have to have it own. And then France might also need its own. And UK too.

I mean, this will basically be a fulltime Operation community/buisness type gsp. Where all the friendly admins are, since we have a forums all setup and beautiful ( template is still messed up for me as of now )so we can communicate with the customers thru the forums and such, i could donate about 1k to 1.5k to this, and i can get this running off the ground, and we'll also implement the SRCDS game panel if that ever get's finished.

And all the other gsp that got off the ground with this forum could help, doesn't matter, it'll help though.

I disagree with this idea, as we would need a full time supervision of each other and the business, which I would eventually see driving the community into the ground.

ultimately why would gsp want to help another gsp, i mean there is a few gsp owners in this community and this economy is having effect on them and why would they start another one while maybe theirs is hurting. I think it would be fun if every owner here got together like delta, xtreme, pure, dynamic and whom ever else combined in to a megagsp to compete on a level with gameservers.com and counter-strike.com. Just a thought i had but i doubt that would ever work out

I am open to te Idea.

I could open a specific department dedicated to the SRCDS GSP. Seeing as how we are the largest server provider on here. We could take care of all the hosting for the US and U.K.. The other locations we can do as well, just want to start smaller then the world

Exactly, with the support we provide the customers and the quality we can get, wouldn't we be able to dominate the whole market?

Support is the most important, but since we allready have that covered by this forum, im guessing it shouldn't be too hard.

Ther is also many GSPs here that are just starting out, like me for example, most of us has the knowledge but not the money, and if we combine our knowledge on srcds and hlds servers, it would just be amazing.

I think what Mooga is trying to say is no, you guys can go ahead and do what you like but it will have nothing to do with srcds.com

Since my last post didn't seem to make sense to some of you...
SRCDS.com has no plans for opening GSP. SRCDS.com has always been about free help to everyone. Selling servers would undermine that goal. You can open up your own GSP, but you can NOT put the SRCDS.com name on it.

I totally agree with Mooga. You couldn't sustain a community which SRCDS.com has at the moment while running a GSP along side it.
