Dub, your firewall software most likely has intrusion and DoS detection system. Take a look at your firewall software's features and see if you need to enable logging.
For example Window's own firewall has very simple logginf of all dropped packets. I haven't used it ever, though.
In general you shouldn't make enemies in the internet, and if you happen to find enemies, you better not let them know your IP. If it happens anyway you should try to change your IP by restarting your modem. Then nobody can attack you because they don't know your IP address. Makes sense, doesn't it?
