Windows will not go to 2000fps. I'm assuming you're running windows because you posted this in a Windows section of the forum. If not, ask to get this moved to the linux section.

1) use windows server 08 web edition
2) download: http://forums.srcds.com/viewtopic/4665
3) make sure ur fps_max is 0 not 1000
Code:
"fps_max 0"

Yes, you cannot get 1000 FPS on Windows operating systems (Except for Windows Server 08) EASILY due to the lack of certain necessary requirements. You actually technically can, but you would need to disable ACPI among other drivers which would render your quad-core intel basically a single core. It's not worth it.

They can run 1000 FPS with xp pro, too .. It may go in and change the ACPI Driver If so .. Have we not ACPI you can not lock up to 1000 FPS. If you want 1000, so adapting to (ACPI advanced configuration and power interface) But remember that the server has multiple cores, all go to one! I do not know if you can find back to the correct driver again! But with this, they will reach 1000 fps easily! srcdsbooster got to run, too.

You guys are making this a bit more confusing then necessary.

" i have srcdsfpsboost.exe and im getting no less than 980 fps but i need that extra little boost to 2000fps"

He is asking how to get to 2000FPS. As stronius said, it is not possible with windows.

Speedy0339, you are pretty much at the max. 980FPS is the highest average on windows. There is currently no way to get higher FPS. You could do what computerhelper said and set fps_max 0.

But other then that you are trying to achieve the impossible at the moment. Only Linux is currently capable of going above 1000FPS.
