Ok, guys, i know this is a common problem, but i'm actually fairly network savvy (took 2 yrs cisco CCNA training, etc) and i can't for the life of me get this dedicated server to appear to the internet and on the CS server list.
Ok, information:
I'm on a class A comcast business class connection, 22down/5.5up.
Modem: SMC8014 (serves as a router as well, DHCP, etc)
Server is 1.5gigs DDR, Athlon 64 3200+, Windows XP SP2
I have forwarded ports, 27015 and 27020->27050 to the server ip in the cablemodem/gateway, server ip is 10.1.10.11
This is how i have my start command setup:
srcds -console -game cstrike +map cs_office -maxplayers 32 -autoupdate -tickrate 100 +ip 10.1.10.11 +port 27015
Edit 1: Have tried DMZ, doesnt work
Edit 2: Have also checked to ensure windows firewall is disabled.
The "DOS" window comes up and displays:
If there is any info im missing you guys need, let me know and i can post it.
BTW i can connect via the console on another computer via the internal IP addr, but when i have someone try to connect from an external IP, connecting to my external ip, they are unable to connect. I'm at a loss, i've spent now 3 hours on this and i can't seem to figure out wtf the problem is.
Also, i have used PFPortChecker as well as microtorrent's built in port tester to verify the ports are in fact being forwarded properly to the server.
The only thing i can figure is there is some kind of setting im not doing correctly which is not allowing it to connect to the steam servers and consequently not allowing outside users to connect.
Thanks again for all your help.
