RE: Tutorial: How to setup a TF2 server

Thanks for this Tut and everything, but the update tool keeps stopping at 67.06%

I don't want to have to keep waiting until it get's to that point just to see it stop again...

I've done it 3 times and all 3 stopped there :S

Edit: ok, nevermind lol, i got the server installed, now i can't find the server config file, anyone able to point me in the right direction? Smile

Edit: Hahaha it's ok, i've worked that out too haha, thnx for the tut Wink

RE: Tutorial: How to setup a TF2 server

Yo dude that's no good :S

I tried what you said and it keeps automatically changeing it back to 24, even if i set the srcds to 32, i did this as an example ingame...

See, i type 64 and it sets it to 24, as does 32, if anybody has any ideas please help, we run a 100meg fibre server and could raise the bar quite a bit...

I dont think its possible to run more than 24 at this point in time.
Theres some "hacks" on the official forums that will allow you to run 32.
But...thats just off the top of my head

RE: Tutorial: How to setup a TF2 server

I have it all up and running (Thanks a million for the how-to) but the server is showing up as only a LAN server. How do I make it an Internet sever?

I've done that, but it still shows up in LAN games. However, I'm not using a console - I'm running it from the command prompt - maybe that's my issue? If so, how do I run it from a console?

Well, if it doesn't matter, then it's simply not working. Maybe there's a line I can add to the .cfg or something?

Did you try and add the "sv_lan 0" to the cfg file.

Are you sure its executing the cfg file?
