The limiting factor is going to be the 10mbit network. I would suggest upping it to 100mbit.

the number of slots is not the quantity to ask for. in many cases, the number of servers is much more the limiting factor. If it's a Q8200, I guess you can't run much more then 4, at most 6 servers.

240 slots is an overestimation in any case, in my opinion. depends of course also very strongly on your quality demands.

btw: 2GB ram will be fine, no need to have 4. a server takes around 200-300 MB of ram, depending on the plugins. only if you host many public servers with many plugins, 4GB might be necessary.

yeah it's Q8200. I run public servers about 16-20 slots. How many servers can I host on 1st machine??? And how many bandwitch i need??

Also map size will greatly affect memory usage... I have a customer who runs Mini Games maps on their server with little to no plugins at all ( big maps with falling stuff, and breakable brushes everywhere )

Their server alone eats 800 to 1200MB memory at any given time. I have verified the issue, and comparably a MinGames map mg_smashcannonsz uses 500MB more memory than a server running De_dust2.

Attached is a memory usage graph of an idle server running these kind of maps, over time if a map is never changed the memory usage seems to increase as well, as with any map I would assume...

looks like a memory leak in some plugin (what is minigames? it's either a plugin or a different game )

@franczez: Pentium 4 and Pentium D a very old machines. I wouldn't recommend buying them...
