Distant,
I have just read your explanation on the usefulness of 1000+ fps servers. And I am a bit skeptical.
However, something to put it in context. A server processing at more than 1000fps would pick up any changes that have occurred in the 1ms gap between frames. This would mean, that an object that is moving, would need to move a significant amount in the 1ms gap, for the increased frame processing to have any effect at all.
You could probably prove or disprove the theory by getting some guys to jump around on a server. Record, playback, host_timescale 0.001, take 2 screenshots within 1 second of eachother, and binary diff. (Not flawless, of course the server framerate is downsampled, and missing data is interpolated client side, but you should see some difference)
I am however interested to see if your library actually provides more stable framerates, or just gives the illusion...

This is old! But I'll let it live, as DISTANT is active still.
