More stable FPS?
#1
I have a server running a 2.0 GHz Dual Core, the system is Windows Server 2008 with HPET enabled, Intel Speedstep disabled.

The goal is to get the FPS stable at 1000.00 for my warserver, but for some reason it keeps jumping between 900 - 1000.

It is the only server that is running on the box and it is running as a service at high priority using FireDaemon. I use the Fast Multimedia Timer sevice posted on this board.

All services that is not needed to run a SRCDS has been disabled, but I am not sure if the processor sheduling should be set to background services or programs (Currently its set to background services).

Any tweaks that could make the FPS stable?

Not going to happen Smile

It's already hard to keep a completely stable 512FPS, if you want a stable one go with 120FPS or so lol, then it's pretty much as stable as can be and still capable running a 100tick server might you ever need.

900-1000 is the best you are going to really do with Windows 2008. There isn't really any "tweaks" you can do besides editing the registry.
