#1
Hi

I have a small issue with my windows 203 server running srcds with counter strike source.

Baisicly it doesnt appear in the LAN browser menu in game. I can do "connect 192.168.0.200" and it connects fine. Any ideas of whats going on?

Regards
Matt

Make sure it's running on a port between 27015 and 27019

If it doesn't show then something is blocking it, maybe a firewall you have running or something else between the server and your computer.

I have a DG834N which runs my internet and wireless. The server and my pc are both wireless. I will be testing the server on a small test lan to check if its the wireless or something else.

FIXED IT

Steam on my gaming rig was looking on the vmware virtual ports i had. When i started a server on my gaming PC it came up with a 75 subnet instead of 0 which quickly showed me what was wrong.

CHeers everyone

enable NAT and dmz server on your router

set your dmz to 192.168.1.2 (or ip of your server on local network)

check your windows firewall & 3rd party fire wall are allowing 27015 in exceptions / rules on your server IP

finally ensure your running the IP command in the console for your external ip
