Make admin unkickable?
#1
I'm running 3 public Left 4 Dead instances on an unused server. Sometimes I want to pop in to see how things are running, but a couple of times I get kicked 30 sec after I join.

Perhaps people like playing 1vs1 versus, but it's still very rude to kick players because of that.

How can I make myself unkickable as the admin?

If you log in with rcon you might be able to be kicked...

Please do not PM me for server related help

How do you manage to get kicked from your own server anyway Big Grin

Immunity flags?

I've tried rcon, but as far as I can see it only disables autokick (being idle too long), people can still vote kick you.

Apparently some people want to play versus one against one people, and will kick everybody who joins. It's a bit sad.

Point I was trying to make was how can a simple player kick anyone at all? You give all people access to RCon?

They just call a vote-kick, and off I go. Sad

L4D is a lot different than other source games, it has a built in player voting system.

The only way to make the admin immune would be to disable the built-in system (if possible) and use a third party plugin to handle votes.
