Version 3.5.2.2 Has Been Released!
Update Increases Performance, Adds Features and New Design Aspects
- Ability To Install Server Plugins
- Start-up Batchfile Creation
- Speed Increases (Threading Baby!)
- User Interface 'Upgrades"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, here is the latest and greatest version of my server installer! I've been coding and debugging all of yesterday and today--literally--that's why there may be a couple of bugs. After a bag of pretzles and a case of Mountain Dew, here's the result.
Anyways, my new version of the program will install any one of the servers that are download-able through the HLDS Update Tool. The games installable are all listed on this page: http://forums.srcds.com/viewtopic/7553 .
Alrighty, after you download and install the application from: My Site, You'll be greeted by my application's main menu. That looks like so:
After selecting to install a server, you'll be presented with the main 'server list'. That looks like this:
This will allow you to either scroll through or click on the server icon you want to install.
When you click to install the server, you'll be asked to specify what directory you want the server to be installed to. Simply select a directory and press ok.
The application will either download the HLDS Update Tool or use the one in the current directory. It will then start the server installation:
While you're waiting for the server to finish installing, you'll be presented with the server setting screen. That looks like this:
This will allow you to specify what your server's hostname, password, port, tickrate, etc. will be. Fill out the form and press 'Create Startup File' and it will create a batch file on your desktop to start your server.
The server command line looks something like this:
After your server install finishes--or you have a different server install, you can install plugins for the server. Right now, I only have eventscripts, SourceMod, and MetaMod. (MORE TO COME!)
The screen will prompt you for what plugin to install and what the server path is. That'll look like this:
Keep in mind that I only have it set-up to work with HL2MP, CSS, DODS, and TF2. I will add more as I get the time.
Anyways, thanks for the support, and I appreciate all of the installations! If there are any bugs you may find or any features you may want added, either leave me a message here or PM me. I will usually get it within a few hours.
(About an 18 Megabyte Download) --> (Includes server plugins and necessary files. I'm sorry it's so big!)
