I don't know what COD4 uses but here are numbers:
CSS/DODS 100 tick ~20KB/s per slot
CSS/DODS 66 tick ~12KB/s per slot

Have fun doing the math Smile

Alot.
Or a little over 4 TB a month. Then add in the cod4 server.

cod4 uses a fair amount of bandwidth as well. I believe its a little more than CSS, but not as much as like BF2.

But with that bandwidth estimate thats under the assumption that all of the servers are always full, which lets face it.. it most definitely won't be right away. Although bandwidth is what will probably end up costing the most once the servers get going.

As for datacenter, I would have to say ubiquityservers.com Big Grin

Neither providers are "datacenters" they simply have COLO space in datacenters. I believe in Chicago Ubiquity uses space @ Steadfast.net and COLOcrossing uses ServerCentral.net

I know that, but what I said got my point across.

Correct, in Chicago we use Steadfast. Which they are the datacenter, but we have our own racks that utilize their facility. We also have our own uplinks to mzima and handle our own routing. So technically we don't own datacenters, but with space available in another.. why would you?

If you have a very popular server I think you can say it will be full 80% of the time so the total bandwidth X 0.8 would give a good estimate for bandwidth usage per month.
