Stuck at 66 tick
#1
I'm having problems with a Counter-Strike: Source server.
I have two dedicated servers, 1st is a C2D E6400 (2.13Ghz) with 2GB ram, 2nd is a Xeon 3060 (2.39Ghz) with 2GB ram. Both are running Server 2003.

I am using TCAdmin, 1st is a master server, 2nd is a remote server. When I install a 100tick CSS server on server 2 the tickrate wont go higher than 66. If I start the server at 33 tick it does run at 33 tick, if i start it at anything over 66 tick, the tickrate is constantly at 66 when its running.

What's odd is that the files on both servers are identical, the boot lines are also identical... Does anyone have any idea what would cause the server to not go over 66tick?

Thanks,
Craig.

Is the server FPS high enough?
Also are you sure the configuration is identical too?

My colleague seems to think that the server is running at 64fps..
We had a similar problem on a server a while ago and were unable to resolve due time constraints.

What would limit the server to run at 64fps?

Simply make sure fps_max is at 700 an you run either windows media player or srcdsfpsboost.exe

I read about source booster on the TCAdmin forums, got that on the server and now the server is running at 100tick.
I have no clue what may be different between each server, suppose its just one of those things....
