also you need -console for the startup parameters..

it still doesnt work, and also on http://www.canyouseeme.org it shows that port 27015 is open

I remember that after i tested a map on Source SDK - Valve Hammer Editor people were joining the server even though it was just a normal create server test from Valve hammer editor. I dont know if that affected my Source Dedicated Server but my SRCDS showed 'Server not responding' for others after that

& by the way how do i copy and paste my server console?

I've found this in game on my console when connected to my server:

Socket bound to non-default port 27016 because original port was already in use.
Socket bound to non-default port 27021 because original port was already in use.
Socket bound to non-default port 27006 because original port was already in use.
Network: IP xxx.xxx.x.xx, mode MP, dedicated No, ports 27016 SV / 27006 CL
Connecting to xxx.xxx.x.xx:27015...
Connected to xxx.xxx.x.xx:27015

If someone could help that would be greatly appreciated

Seems like some programs already have those ports in use

I've found out that port 27015 was being used by AppleMobileDeviceService, I turned it off, and the message went away in game console. But others still cant connect to my server, do I have to have port forward 27005 correctly so that http://www.canyouseeme.org can see it, or is only 27015 supposed to be seen through this. (my port 27015 is opened correctly, but port 27005 cannot be seen)

I have these ports opened

UDP 1200 1200
UDP 27000 27015
TCP 27020 27020
TCP 27030 27039
TCP 27015 27015
UDP 27005 27005

It is important that all ports are open

I've tried to open these ports, but only port 27015 is able to respond.

UDP 1200 1200
UDP 27000 27015
TCP 27020 27020
TCP 27030 27039
TCP 27015 27015
UDP 27005 27005

Why aren't any steam programs using the ports? I've been thinking that you have to assign them, but arent these ports supposed to be used by the programs automatically...? Sad

ignore the above post....

Normal create server works fine, with sv_lan 0 and people can connect. But when i open srcds others cant connect, it says server not responding... I have my server.cfg above at my first post.
