I tried but couldnt find anything. I know im bad Toungue
Well ive done that on my routers page but when i do a port checker of the ports it still says they are closed. All my firewalls are off too. Is there a program that opens ports for me? Free is what i need though!

Nope, there aren't any automated things to do it.
Routers are always a problem if you have one of those standard home use things supplied by your ISP, all you cna do is update the firmware an see if it works then, maybe try DMZ. If all fails you need a new router.

I don't think that you can trust on those port checkers, because i opened the ports of my router, and i checked it with a port checker, but it said they were closed. I gave my ip to a friend of me, and he could join me, and also other people joined my server.

Yea, there on the right ip.

I don't quite know if this is that relevant but i would suggest to use a Linksys from Cisco Router--very very easy to set up and forward ports on!
I believe that there are some programs that may be able to open ports--if the device is UPnP supported! It can get tricky at times but good luck!

I think im just gonna get a linksys router and hack it :p

Drocona Wrote:Nope, there aren't any automated things to do it. Actually there is one thing that will do it, it is call PFConfig. You select what router you have from a list, select the game and it will open the ports. it costs like $20 but it is a good tool so you can close the ports when you want to turn the server off for safety! http://www.portforward.com/ you can get it there.

yea i need it free though :p
EDIT: I got pfconfig however i found something out. The computer that is hosting the server has the same external ip as my computer. My computer and the server one are on the same network. Any ideas whats going on?
