How Do You Update Your Server?
#1
I tried following the instructions in the readme on how to update a server, so I typed this into my command prompt: HldsUpdateTool.exe -command update -game tf -dir c:\hlserver and it said "HldsUpdateTool.exe as an internal or external operable program or batch file".

What did I do wrong? I know that the directory is c:\hlserver.

You have to do a cd <path to updatetool here> first, else it can't find the update .exe

so if your updater is in C:\updater
you type in console:
Code:
cd C:\updater

HldsUpdateTool.exe -command update -game tf -dir c:\hlserver

Please do not PM me for server related help

Oh, thankyou very much, I got it now. I wasn't typing in cd before c:\hlserver.
