Hi Guys, I'm a noob to the Source DS game and having problems with my HL2DM DS Setup.
I've managed to get the server up (windows 2003) and running successfully, but my maps aren't cycling.
*For my DS build I pretty much followed the instructions in the url below, obviously substituting the CS references for HL2MP .(http://planethalflife.gamespy.com/View.php?view=HL2Guides.Detail&id=4&game=3#installation)
My command line is:
C:\SourceDS\srcds.exe -console -game hl2mp -tickrate 33 +map dm_lockdown
I have a mapcycle.txt file in the C:\SourceDS\HL2MP folder listing the map filenames (no extensions). One map name per line.
When the timelimit or fraglimit is reached, the server 'changes maps' but just loads the same map over and over (ie dm_lockdown specified in command line).
my server.cfg file has defined the mapcyclefile mapcycle.txt
I have a maplist file somewhere too, just can't remember where off the top of my head.
I can change maps using the rcon command from the console, but I don't want to have to change the maps manually :(
Does a vanilla installation support map cycles? or do I need a plugin?
I've tried installing Mani's plugin but none of the commands were recognised (showed errors when starting srcds command not found or something). I was thinking of trying Metamod tonight instead to see if that helped.
Any help appreciated :D
Cheers,
