tick rate question
#1
for Tf2 what is the best tickrate for gameplay?

specs on my server follow

dual pIII 750 mhz
768MB Ram
74g 10k scsi for server disk drive
20 10k scsi OS

i will be upgrading it soon with a E1200 and 2 gigs ram with same HDD specs

whats the max players i can do on each? (bare in mind i'm a newbie to srcds Smile )

i got a CS:S ds at 100tick running, i haven't had time to fool with it being so late last night playing around on it lol.

For "performance" I'd call it, 66 tick has always been the best for all online Source games.
If that server will hold is going to be a problem though (TF2)

And that Dual PIII 750MHz will only run 12 slots CSS 100 tick per CPU
That Celeron won't do any good at all... You really have to look into E4300 minimum if you want to run gameservers

Well TF2's max tickrate is 66, so that is the best. Now that processor will barely hold anything and even if you get the E1200, celerons are horrible for SRCDS.
*Edit*: Dammit I was preposted XD. So just listen to Drocona in stead of me.

Its the architechture that is bad and overclocking is not a good idea on servers...

Use sourcemod or beetlesmod. Mooga lovvvves beetlesmod so I would probably go with that.

I currently use Beetles mod.
However the most recent Valve update has created some problems and Beetle has stopped release his regular large updates Sad

I would choose Beetle over Mani personally.
I'll considered going over to source mod if it adds more features.

Please do not PM me for server related help
