So the company that I am hosting my dedicated server from originally rented us an AMD 5200+. This did not perform as hoped for with SRCDS, so we asked for an upgrade to the Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 which would obviously cope better with servers.
After waiting over a week with problem after problem (the C2D being out of stock, the one they had in was broken, etc) they have now offered to give us an Intel Xeon 3210 in place of it, to make up for downtimes, etc.
I know this is obviously better, but I am wondering how much better? We will be running TF2 Servers on it, so I am wondering exactly how many slots on average would something like this hold?
