I think the only way to set this up is to use Beetlesmod. There is certainly no cvar for setting this.

Only plugins can modify the respawn rate.

i don't get why people think that buggy pile of crap beetlesmod is the only thing that works on tf2.
install sourcemod, and you can use
"sm_cvar mp_respawnwavetime 5"
there IS a cvar for it, but it's hidden.
You could look into an event scripts plugin too, but sourcemod works just fine. I wouldn't touch beetlesmod with a 50 foot stick.

no need to crap on other mods goerge, it works fine for me and a lot of other people as well.

ok now i installed it and the commands work!
But can anyone tell me what to do now with "sm_cvar mp_respawnwavetime 5" should i use it as console command or can i write it down anywhere so that it stays for ever?

i installed Sourcemod...and it worked until the update yesterday...now nothing works again...
i hat the orangebox metamod installed and the sourcemod...but since the update this night sm does not work anymore...
it tells me always that all those sm_commands are unknown...and i thought it would work now!
Edit: I updated Sourcemod, but it still does not work...

when the server updates the gamedata.txt file gets overwritten have you re-added the |gamebin| entry for metamod ?
