Another Loss Thread

Hi i am just wondering what are the causes of loss
Could it be a firewall on the connection? Or maybe some commands in network adaptors that are limiting the connection?

causes of loss are bad links between the server, be it switches gateways or whatever can "break"
It is not related to software in any way on a server you run.
