Hey. I have a kinda noobie question here. Can you turn off your computer wile the server is running? ive heard it from a friend. And please dont answer like WTF do u think or something. i just need an answer.

well maybe his friend's server is on a different computer?

If you turn off the computer that is running the server, the server will no longer be available. Your friend is either:
A) Pulling your chain. B) Hosting the server through a hosting company. C) Hosting the server on a different machine than the one he is shutting down. D) Not actually hosting a server.
ok, im sorry for my stupidity..but can u have it in standby then?

no you have to keep the computer running at all times.
