Problem: Team Fortress 2 server
#1
My server worked fine until I patched it on 10/1. Now when I run the server I get this error that restarts it:

Host_Error: CEngineSoundServer:: PrecacheSound: 'player/geiger1.wav' overflow

Any ideas?

Nothing changed between it working and not working except a steam update of TF2

Try to delete the installrecord.bolb
and run the install command again.

Still no luck.

The file that it is choking on is in the hl2 folder (as a resource I would assume). I have also tried deleting the file and updating and it's still not working.

Step 1: Delete the file
Step 2: make sure you specify -verify_all when you run "steam -update..."

It should replace the file by downloading a new version.
