#1
Hello all. I have some question, about what my server can hold.

I have a broadband ( 4mbit/512kbit )
All my maps are on another server, so thats not a problem (:
(sv_downloadurl)

My server :
Model : Intel® Core™ Duo CPU T2250 @ 1.73GHz
Speed : 1.73GHz
Cores per Processor : 2 Unit(s)
Threads per Core : 1 Unit(s)
Type : Mobile, Dual-Core
Hard Disk (CSmile : 112GB
Windows System : Microsoft Windows XP
Total Memory : 2GB DDR2-SDRAM

The question is.
How many slots can my server run at.
What tickrate shall i use?
Shall i use FPS booster?
Can i run Mani admin plugin also?

And can some1 help me with these settings:
sv_unlag 10
sv_maxunlag 10.0
rate 6000
maxrate 4500
sv_maxrate 4096
sv_minrate 0
sv minupdaterate 10
sv_maxupdaterate 60
fps_max 75
sv_unlag 1
decalfrequency 20 (I don't know what i shall set them to Sad)

// Hope you will help me

8 players, maybe 10 max.

sv_maxrate 7000 (10 players) or 8500 (8 players)

fps_max 700

sv_maxupdaterate 100

also set sv_minrate to something like 5000

Also: just a suggestion but laptops aren't doing very well as server platforms but as the bandwidth is the limiting factor here it should be no problem.

I say you can handle 10 players, since I can do 12 with my connection (I've got between 600 to 650kbps up). You might have to change the rates for 10. I would set decalfrequency to 30 seconds. I'm not sure how good Core Duo (not Core 2) processors perform, so I can't give you anything about that. Make sure you run the fps booster, it makes a fairly big difference.
