Hi guys,
I know this was told very, very often before. But I have still no answer yet.I have even tried to set my external IP adresse and my Subnetmask (255.255.255.0) in the configs of my Internetconnections under Internetprotocol (TCP/IP)( If you understand what I mean). But when I do this I have no longer a Internet connection. And if I put it to automatic again I'm not able to set my external IP adresse to my shortcout (f.e. -IP 80.135.23.45), because then an error appears. Please help! I have ports from 27000 to 27050 all open via trigger port 27015 UDP/TCP which I have opened also seperate ! I don't know what to to !
PLEASE HELP ME! I'm sick and tiered about that.
Other peolple can just join my server if they now my IP !
Thanks a lot to every person who gives my tipps!
See ya Michi
P.S.: Sry for my English

make sure all these ports are open
Steam ports
UDP 1200 (used for friends service)
UDP 27000 to 27015 inclusive
TCP 27030 to 27039 inclusive
Computers running Dedicated Servers need these ports open
UDP: 27015 and 27020 (default HLDS, SRCDS and HLTV port)
TCP: 27015 (SRCDS Rcon port)
Also, you don't set your external ip, i don't think you need to set an IP in this case.

Do you have 27030 to 27039 as TCP? or just UDP?

Then perhaps its something steamside, let it run for a bit, eventually it'll show, if people can connect from outside your network, then it is running fine.

I had to turn off "DHCP" in order to get the forwarded ports to work. Try that!
I am using a "Watchguard SOHO" Firewall.
I may be
over 40, but I can still get you!

Have you got sv_lan 0 in your server.cfg as I have been told this is what makes your server report itself to the master server list hence shows you in the server list at the client end?

This is at my home.....I have two PC's connected to the Internet over the same Router and same connection. With one I host and with the other I play on it with my friends.
But what is an edu?
