I have 3 DDR 400Mhz 512s and 1 333 Mhz 512 sticks of ram.
Possible ram configs for my dedicated server:
1 Gb 800 Mhz ram (cuz of dual channel)
1.5 Gb 400 Mhz ram
or 2 Gb 333 Mhz ram
Which ram configuration would be most optimal for the dedicated server?
any input is apreciated =D

I'd go for the 1.5GB, the 2 sticks will still use dual channel and you have an extra 512 in a slot.
Also just a small note, dual channel doesn't double the speed, it just responds faster than 2 since you use 2 slots, so double bandwidth with optimisation of the motherboard for dual channel.
So yeh, 1.5GB for sure, using the 333MHz will slow all the other ram sticks to 333MHz too.

Well normall 2GB would be better if they were the same speed, but that last RAM stick is at 333MHz. The motherboard will automatically run all the RAM modules at the speed of the slowest module you have plugged in.
In the case of 2GB it will run at 333MHz, but with 1.5GB it will run at 400MHz which is faster.
Now you ahve to make the decision if you'd like speed over amount or the other way around. Since it's about a server here I'd choose for the speed, since servers need as fast access time as possible plus 1.5GB is enough to run plenty of gameservers.
If we were talking about 256MB modules here I'd go for the slower solution since you NEED the amount of RAM.
In this case I'd go for 1.5GB since it's faster.
