Well got it working on a LAN. Try to get my friends to connect via my external IP... But it's not recognising it... I've forwarded my ports here's a pic.

C:\SRCDS\srcds.exe -console -autoupdate -game cstrike -tickrate 66 -ip 192.168.1.111 -port 27015 -maxplayers 16 +map de_dust2

Try adding your internal server IP and port that is forwarded to your router like in the above example. That should do the trick plus get it VAC secured.

You can delete the -autoupdate command since it's linux only.

I think freddukes wants it insecure since he has the -insecure command in his statupline.

Well I did see that but that's my way of saying that running a CS:S server insecure is (IMHO) retarded, but whatever one wants I guess. Does nothing for the game overall or the gaming community. He'll get nothing but cheaters, hackers and banned/hijacked accounts playing so one who is legit won't have a chance. Those people seek the insecure servers out because that's the only ones they can play on. How sad seeing the game client is a paltry $20. See Drocona, ya went and got me started@! lol

Hehe, I totally agree with you on that, but I'm sure freddukes has a good reason to put it on insecure.
I tried joining a non vac server a few times but everytime I got in it's not the real game, it's just to show off who has the fastest and best cheat available.

New startup line

Quote:D:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +mp_dynamicpricing 0 -ip 192.168.2.65 -port 27015 +map de_dust2 -maxplayers 8 -insecure

And I want to be insecure because I'm a script maker and want to test out certain script to try and catch hackers... Just a lure server really... Hmmm when I give 81.108.194.81:27015 to my friends the server doesn't come up... Any ideas??

Try telling them to go in-game and open the console and type: connect 81.108.194.81:27015 - And see if they can join it

Did you try the DMZ option? It might fix everything.

There should be an option somewhere in the router, all you ahve to do is select it and point it to the ip of your server machine.
