Cant create a server.cfg file

Hallo yesterday i downloaded the srcds server but i dont know how to crate a server.cfg file...

in notepad and then save as server.cfg
but it doesnt save as server.cfg just server.cfg.txt

please help

Into notepad. click
save as ->
file name -> server.cfg
save as type -> all files

That should then be ok.

Changing maps: changelevel <fullmapnamehere> example: changelevel de_dust2

administration is done in the server.cfg really, I don't know what else.
Like kicking players and messing with them can be done with mani admin plugin or beetlesmod or alike.
