Some can't see or connect

Running a dod source server and having a funny issue. There is a handfull of players that can't see or connect to their server through steam, funny thing is they can ping it with a cmd line so it's not on their end. After looking at these people the only common issue is their IP address all start with the same first 2 digits as the server which is 72, somehow I think this is the cause. Does anyone know what might be causing this issue I have looked everywhere but can't find an answer for it.

I had this problem when running the server behind an crappy router. Even though i had made my server DMZ things still wouldn't work. So I removed the router and made the server the router and the "router" into an switch, work great.

indeed switches are the best you can use, but it needs an extra pc Smile

Huh switches takes an extra pc?

What machines do you think colocated servers are connected to the internet in datacenters?

a switch has to be controlled by something. switches cannot think themselves. that's what we call routers
