I've been selling a few things on eBay and noticed that some of the same products are cheaper on Amazon. It got me thinking about listing those items on eBay first, then ordering from Amazon only after somebody buys. I wouldn't have to keep stock, and the price difference could leave some room for profit. Has anyone actually built a store this way? What should I watch out for before trying it?

The numbers can look pretty good until Amazon changes a price or something suddenly goes out of stock after you've already made the sale. Once you've got more than a handful of listings, keeping an eye on all of that yourself gets old fast. For that part of the job, you can use AutoDS to track price and stock changes and take some of the routine order work off your hands. I'd still leave enough margin for eBay fees and the occasional Amazon price jump.
