I have a cs:s server at flanga.ath.cx... I have a 3mbit downstream, and 512kbit upstream. All of a sudden, when my scoutzknivez server is full, my downstream sucks major league. I'm talkin about 300kbit/ps suckage. Its never done this before, and the highest persons ping on the server is usually 100. Ideas why?

Downloading requires upload aswell.
If your upload is full because of the server you can't download fast because theres hardly any upload bandwidth left

But that would cause my downstream to go from 3mbit to 300kbit? That seems like way too large of an amount, and considering that it has never done this before strikes me to be odd...

Well if you're using 500kbit for the SRCDS you will definatly not be able to download faster than 1000kbit
might be hardware problem? I don't know, there can be other things influencing this but I think it's just because you're upload bandwidth is just full
