How do I transfer ETH from Base to Polygon?
#1
Got ETH spread across two networks. Some on Base, some on Polygon. Was thinking about moving it from Polygon over to mainnet but I've got way more ETH sitting on Polygon than I thought. Didn't seem worth it to take that kind of hit on fees. What's the best way to move ETH between layers?

There are exchanges where people are looking for the exact opposite trade, moving from Polygon to mainnet. You work something out, send from one wallet and they send back to yours from theirs. Just gotta watch out for scammers with that kind of setup.

Nah man, those P2P setups are where you get burned most often. You send first and the other person just ghosts you. Way safer to go through a bridge. There are services built for cross-layer swaps that handle this properly. You can bridge ETH from Base to Polygon here https://defiway.com/bridges/bridge-eth-base-polygon . Fees are pretty reasonable, you won't lose much on the transaction. A lot cleaner than trusting some random and hoping they hold up their end.
