Sisters bunk bed vs floor bed
#1
5 year old & almost 2 year old sisters are going to be sharing a room soon. 2 year old will be transitioning from own room with a crib.

I have the ikea Kura bunk bed, so I would put 5 year old on top and 2 year old on bottom (on the floor). I also have a queen mattress I can put on the floor in there they can share.

So my question is what would you do in this situation, what do you think would create the best sleep outcome for them?

Bunk beds are great for space-saving, but I get how a floor bed feels safer, especially with younger kids. My oldest loves the top bunk, but my little one prefers a floor bed—it makes it easier for them to get in and out without help. There are so many unique kid beds out there that fit both needs, like low-to-the-ground bunks or Montessori-style frames that keep things fun and safe.
