rcon problem

hi
im brazilian, so i dont know so much english...
but i will try explain my problem...
i have one server but the rcon doesnt work
in the server.cfg i have "rcon_password 123456" and when i play in the server i write in the console "rcon_password 123456" and "rcon changelevel de_dust2" and the console say
"Unable to connect to remote server"

so someone help me
i use windows, and my firewall is off, so i dont know what is the problem

Go into the server's console and type "status". See what IP the server has listed. Make sure it isn't 127.0.0.1. If it is, restart the server with the "+ip" flag and the server's LAN IP address. You don't want the server listening on the loopback interface.

I had a similar problem when I first started running SRCDS. Rcon would never work and I finally figure out it was because the server was listening on the wrong interface. The server will be visible when listening on loopback, but you won't be able to connect to rcon.

connect the internet, so i always have to put +ip and my new ip

you can request a static IP with your ISP most of the times, sometimes free or sometimes for a small fee.

ok so i may be doing this wrong...i went to HOST a GAME i did not buy it....but it bring up WHALECLIENT beta 1....can you help...my adress is loopback....
