Tutorial: How to setup a DOD:S server
#31
Quote:c:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game dod -port 27015 +maxplayers 32 +map dod_anzio +exec server.cfg

This now won't work ... it will have to be:

Code:
c:\srcds\orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game dod -port 27015 +maxplayers 32 +map dod_anzio +exec server.cfg

the whole install is now inside the orangebox folder, execpt for the "hl2" folder.

has anyeone got Mani Admin Plugin working on the new DoDs yet ??

thanks

I am trying to setup a dedicated server and everything appears to have worked fine.

But its a lan server server. The IP is my local IP. How do I assign my external IP to the server?

I have tried insertin -ip XXXXXXx into the batch file but that resorts in the server not launching stating could not associate IP or something.

Try doing this in cmd box without inserting -ip XXXXXXx
lan 0
^
put that and it might do something if it doesnt work try being admin in server and open consol an type the same thing : lan 0 hope it worksWink

Hi I just wanted to ask because I am setting up a tf2 server and I am encountering some problems. So I start the server.
And my friends can't connect. They said its a problem with the ports? They have this problem that failed after 4 retries or like no connection?
I have forwarded the ports 1200 - 1200 ( TCP/UDP ), 3478-4380 ( TCP/UDP ), and 27000-27050 ( TCP/UDP )
My router is a Linksys E1200.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My friend setup the dods server with the config posted and it worked fine, so i guess the problems are with the ports. Can they see the server?
