only advice i can give u is to install a differant firewall and disable windows firewall... i haven't ever used the windows firewal so i couldn't tell u much about it except to look and see if hlsw is in your firewall exemptions..

Windows Firewall is really bad and should never be used. Buy a real firewall.

yea yea yea.. well im poor, and had to scrape change up to replace a psu that fried on my main computer earlier today. anyways.. oh well.. i guess.. cuz the ports were open in the firwall and everything, and it was added as an exemption, so whatever. maybe ill try this freeware one a friend uses.. it didn't seem much better though.

yea.. zone alarm.. i dled it, and it seems to work out nicely... and it seems like it blocks everything it should.. although i get random things saying its blocking stuff from the ip 192.168.1.1... wich is the ip of my router? so thats kinda confusing.. but oh well.. everything works.. soo yea.. thanx for the advise on that.

Well I was pretty sure that you knew how to google, but sometimes people just want to have the info rather than look for it. By going by that I generally provide as much info even if the topic is insanly simple.

yea i understand.. and sometimes there will be like 5 sites for something.. where really only 1 of them is the right one.. i have had that happen before.

Hey I had the same problem, and my first question will be, do you have both LAN cable and wireless connected on your server computer?
If yes, Disable wireless and kill the process (to make it restart srcds) and try again on HLSW.

did you try to add hl2 to the exceptions list in the windows firewall??
