Thanks, that would be much appreciated. As far as target market, matches would be the most obvious use of this type of service. Though, some adjustment still need to be made for it to work well with matches.

um you couldn't patent this because its an idea maybe the system to a temp server. If you could patent it then there would be no competition in any form of business

That is my point, this service is not something that can be a patent. It's not physical property. Durrrr

My comments are PMed to you SteveTVR.

The technology and method of doing is patentable.

And yes, you can actually patent an idea. In the form of blueprints, or an informational document describing how the service is done and overall market and goal.

I am not saying in anyway he can not perform what he is doing, I am simply stating that my company has already designed and developed a system such as this, however providing many more products.

So anyway, I am all for supporting it because it is a great idea and he beat us to market with a beta.

Nextgi,

Thanks for clarifying the root of this. Your post #8 was kinda like a "thumbing your nose" at SteveTVR in a way.

Hopefully your setup is so unique and independent it will no longer be pending. Big Grin

We just released a big update to the service. You'll now get FTP access to your reserved servers. This means that you can upload your own configuration files and addons. The system may not be perfect yet, so we still need people to try it out and find any bugs or limitations.

You can read more about the changes here.

Anyway, let me know what you think.Smile
