Ok, somebody I know for a fact keeps crashing my Counter Strike: Source server on purpose. I need to know how to prevent it so it does not happen and if it does how to quickly restore it. This is an emergency because I have a lot of players playing at once.

![]() Please do not PM me for server related help fqdn Wrote:if you've seen the any of the matrix movies, a game server is not all that different. it runs a version of the game that handles the entire world for each client connected. that's the 2 sentence explanation.

1. Update your server.
2. Make sure it's updated. 3. The reason: Valve had some client commands that will go check if some files exits on the server. If you spam them, the server will crash immediately! Yes it still works on alot of servers since they haven't been updated yet! ![]()

GUYS I HAVE -AUTOUPDATE in my srcds properties. A person name [M.I.A.P.D.] M.I.A. IS CRASHING IT. He is doing it on purpose because he hates me. Now how can I prevent this from happening!

The -autoupdate for Windows is broken and do NOT update your server ![]() EDIT: I was on your server. And yes, you will have to update it. I could use those commands ![]() ![]() Run the HldsUpdateTool.exe with -verify_all
