You will need remote desktop(windows) or SSH or alike for Linux based servers in order to run it in the first place.

so your saying i would have to have access to whatever os the hosting company is using?

He is asking, can he run SRCDS off a webhosting space. The answer is no. They have set up their servers so they are under constant watch, and in most cases, you cant even upload an uncompressed .exe or .dll anyways.
You would be better off renting from a Game Server Provider if you can't run it from home.

thats what i thought beaver, wasnt sure and i had a lot of left over space figured i could try and do something with it.
