Invalid Steam Key Size

I can't honestly decide WHY steam would even try and do something like this. All updated serves are broken! I just updated mine and I or anyone else can't join them. HldsUpdateTool says all content is up to date. What can I do?

If you run a windows server this will solve it

if you run a linux server than i have to say welcome to the club... we need to get the linux .so files somewhere

This is for dedicated servers, right? So here is how it looks:

C:\srcds\(HldsUpdateTool.exe)\orangebox\bin

And paste those engine.dll and steamapi dlls there? There was also another bin folder IN there, and I pasted those two files there, and it seems to have broken gmod. I'm re updating it.

Only paste it in orangebox/bin and backup your files before replacing it.

Wow, amazing. It worked. So when is Valve/Steam going to get on their lazy butts and fix it? I would like to at least know when it is safe to update again...

i dont get it. do i have to creat an orangebox folder in c:\srcds?
cuz i dont haver no orangebox folder in there only bin

Umm, do you have garrysmod as a dedicated server? I think Valve/Steam has fixed it anyways, so just update everything again.
