strange console message from *my* server

dear all

been browsing my logs and have seen

(grepping for Console in one of the log files)


L0421023.log:L 04/21/2005 - 04:36:06: "Console<0><Console><Console>" say "vcb"
L0421089.log:L 04/21/2005 - 17:26:41: "Console<0><Console><Console>" say "myg0t,
polluting the environment, making fun of retards, killing the whales and raging
CS since 1999"

layercheats.de ... visit us for the hacks that are used on you!"

and the last line about multiplayercheats.de has been apaprearing a lot ( well did in april not recently)

this is under Linux with Rcon disabled as I have shell access, the server is started via

./srcds_run -console -game cstrike +map de_dust2 -autoupdate -secure +maxplayers 16 +exec bots.cfg

can anyone use my console to send console messages ?

hmmm.. they could if they had admin access.. or rcon.. but you have rcon disabled.. im guessing its probly a hack.. add -vacbeta to that cmd line.. and maybe that will catch it or something? cuz im guessing it would have to be someone hacking into it.. or like a hack program,or bot.. im sure they exist. other then that.. i don't really know.

Gotta love those myg0t guys. Asshats.

If I were in your shoes, I'd check my config files, ensure everything is still the way I set it up, copy them out of the game directory and re-install from scratch to make sure I got 'em all out.

Also, the suggestion of adding -vacbeta to your commandline isn't a bad one.

i found making my server secured... brings in more players =)

and now that i think about it.. i have heard of them... man that would be annoying... yea.. follow what solei said.. i don't know too much about it..

Mygot is gay....


I use mani admin plugin to auto ban on connection if it picks up the myg0t tag. They are caught even before they know it and I dont warn if banned beacause you added the myg0t tag in game.

I use Beetle's Mod, which does the same thing.. but they'll always find ways around it.
