I would just like to know if a srds can only be run in a lan because thats the only place i can find my servers, and if so how and is there any way 2 chage the server name??

You will only see your server in lan but others will be able to join using your external IP. Its just something the game does but sheck in your server.cfg that sv_lan 0 is there and if not just add it.

Also you can change your servers name while in your cfg and change map on the server for the new setting to take effect.

you would have to have "hostname servername" in your server.cfg file, or you could just exec that cmd via console or rcon. but then it will reset after server restart

hostname HOSTNAME HERE

Add this to your server.cfg but change the hostname here to the name you want.
