I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have followed the directions many times and i still dont get how to even download dedicated server on 2 my computer. Could someone please make the directions just a lil bit more clear. Like were do i change the directory 2 and what the update command is. Please help as soon as possible.

Just take the tutorial slow, and you *do not* have to register anymore.

Ok, try this:
Download the HLDSUpdateTool from here
Than double click on it, go throught the menus and install it to

c:/srcds

ok, now go to "start" click "run" then in the box type cmd (xp users) then a black dos prompt should pop up
now, type

Code:

cd c:\srcds

now type

Code:

hldsupdatetool

it should now download a new hlds version
after its done type

Code:

hldsupdatetool -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir C:\srcds

wait till its done (may take hours) then go to start run again and type

Code:

c:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +map de_dust -maxplayers 16 -autoupdate

into the box

1 last thing can some1 give me the abbriviations for the games. ex. Halflife 2, Counter Strike Source, etc

Deathmatch is hl2mp. Im not sure about cs:s, but I believe it is cstrike.
