every time i try to load a map in SRCDS (or when it tries to load the default map at startup) i get that CModelsomething_isvalid::somethingoranother error and it doesn't load. i removed all the data for the game (garrys mod) and redownloaded it with hldsupdatetool earlier today, and after that is when the problem started. i installed lots of addons and shit, and i'm POSITIVE the maps are in C:\SRCDS\orangebox\garrysmod\maps and i DID spell the titles right, and they DON'T have hyphens in the names. any idea what's wrong with this, and how to fix it? i need it working as soon as possible.

Are you sure the maps work? Or do you have a bad copy of the map file?

i'm positive the maps work. it can't even load the gm_construct it downloaded! and some of the other maps are copied from my old installation (not redownloaded) and they used to work, so i can't see why they wouldn't work now.

Try running hldsupdatetool with verify_all.

what do you mean? it used to work, and i reinstalled it because of addon clutter and now it died.

i backed up my addons and stuff and deleted everything but hldsupdatetool.exe and its files.
reinstalling now. i hope it works!
what stumps me though is why it would NOT work after a fresh install. unless it was a bad addon or something...

It might be a bad addon, or just a bad install. Either way, good luck!
