Try connecting via the internal IP but your friend should still use the external IP.

Please do not PM me for server related help

Tried both internal and external on port 27015.

It loads the green screen of L4D, and then freezes about 1/4 of the way loaded, then says "Connection Reset After 10 Retry Attempts"

I'm starting to wonder, is my server only allowing one person in at a time, or something?

DMZ is like putting the computer/server it self outside of your network. Port forwarding is more what you want, unless you have a software firewall you wouldn't want to DMZ a machine.

Well the DMZ seemed to work fine.

Although the L4D server has errors, I recently hosted a server for my friend, and it worked without Hamachi, or any kind of program.

I also have Kaspersky Internet Security. I only DMZ'd this computers Static IP.
