Optimal rate settings 100 tick 500 fps CSS server

All right depending on where or what you read I have found a wide variation of suggestions for network rates , so Ill ask the question here with hopes of determining the optimal settings for my CSS server.
Setup
AMD dual Core 6000 3.2 gig processor
4 gigs of dual channel ddr 2
connection 30 megs down 3 megs up
running srcds with two servers one CSS on INS but my biggest concern is CSS
CSS server is 18 slot 100 tick 500 FPS as i have heard any more slots with 100 tick is a mistake ?
Currently the INS server is a 22 slot at 66 tick rarely populated as it just went up .
Experienced server ops or admins curious or appreciate your input . Any other info needed let me know . MY goal is to have a css server that is lag free and (so far not a problem what so ever) and to register as best as possible .

sv_unlag 1
sv_maxunlag .5

not that i will get 1000 fps. but. just to be on the safe side

You missed out the cmd rates, editted version:

sv_maxrate 30000
sv_minrate 10000
fps_max 600
sv_unlag 1
sv_maxunlag .5

If you look at the update rates and cmd rates, you just need to make sure the max ones are the same as the tickrate your server is running or 1 above. The min rates are up to you, but I would not recommend dropping them below 66 for a 100 tick server. (Ignore this for the maxrate and minrate setting, using the ones above will be fine for any tickrate)

If you have the bandwidth you could use the rates below which will improve the registration on your server.

Thats the proper rates for 100 tick.

For FPS you don't need certain rate settings.

thi will force the client's rates to autoo change when they join?

i thought cmdrate was client side only?

Yes it will change the clients rates when they join.

"sv" commands are serverside, so no it isn't client side only.

Used your settings Hazz and it works like a charm , really sweet deal .
Man you were not kidding about the bandwidth 18 slot , 100 tick 500 fps almost pushing 1 1/2 megs upload. But the register is very nice and Zero choke or loss .
