unable to connect to remote server...
#1
Hello guys!

I reinstall the srcds correctly ( now, without mani admin plugin ) and it works very well when i give my ip to my friends but i can't see the server in the list, my friends too!
I'd like to know what's the problem?
My console doens't answer when i ask for rcon say for example: rcon say hi and it tells me: unable to connect to remote server!
I'm using an ADSL modem so i think i don't have to open the ports.
Please, help me!

What's in the startupline? Firewall on the server disabled?

E:\SRCDS\srcds.exe E:\SRCDS\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike -ip 42.204.78.76 -port 27015 -maxplayers 10 +map de_dust2 +sv_lan 0

Are you talking about this?
Concerning the firewall, all have been disabled!

sv_lan should be in the server.cfg
add +maxplayers <nr> -verify_all to the startup line

Are there any error messages during the start?

Yes, i still see "can't exec banned_user.cfg"
"can't exec banned_ip.cfg" and things like this!

You must make those missing files, they ain't standard!

They should be located in your cstrike/cfg folder, just like all your other configs.

They are already in my server.cfg but i don't why it doesn't work or do you think i should make another server and add them?

The commands are in the server.cfg, that's why you get the error. But are the banned_ip.cfg and banned_user.cfg in the cstrike/cfg folder?

Also, make sure it's not named banned_user.cfg.txt

I understood now! there is no cfg file like banned_ip and banned_user into the cfg folder so i'll make them right now!
Is it the same problem with mani_admin_plugin?
I read "can't exec mani admin plugin.cfg"

Well, that file isn't standard either, and it doesn't get executed by any plugin. So you must had made it. Just find where you wrote the exec exec mani admin plugin.cfg and delete that one.

Hello REALCHAMP!
Hope you're feeling good todayWink
I made the the banned_user and the banned_ip.cfg and put them in the cstrike\cfg folder and it works very well!
Now, i'll try to use the mani_admin_plugin: do you want me to delete the "mani admin plugin.cfg" from the cfg folder and leave my server.cfg?

I do, thanks Smile.

The mani_admin_plugin.cfg isn't standard file for Mani Admin Plugin, so you can easily take it calmly, to delete it.

And about your server.cfg - you shall only remove the exec mani_admin_plugin.cfg command in there.

Then you should be good to go.

But, for using Mani Admin Plugin, you also must have exec mani_server.cfg - in your server.cfg - this is the standard configuration file for Mani Admin Plugin. Smile.
